Oldtimer Museum Meßkirch

Automobiles from 1899 to the 1960s are on display in the Messkirch Oldtimer Museum. The exhibition changes as the vehicles are driven by the owners: motorcycles from 1913 to the 1950s. As a special feature we have the only existing shakomobile.

This small car was manufactured by the Ferdinand Schad company in Meßkirch.

The interests range across the whole range of technical antiquities. Starting with cars, motorcycles, tractors and stationary engines.
Since May 1993 the association was busy building its own small museum in the castle in Meßkirch. The museum was completed in 1998 and has been expanded with an exhibition room for motorcycles since 2003, in the basement of the south-east tower in Messkirch Castle.

The museum is located in the former coach house, the horse and carriage stable, the Meßkirch Castle

Once a month, always on the second Saturday, the classic car friends meet for a casual get-together in the “Oldtimer-Stüble”, in the classic car museum in the castle in Meßkirch. From 8 p.m. there is always a lot of news and of course petrol talks.
