Museum Autovision

The AUTOVISION Museum Foundation is set up in a unique form like a journey through time through mobility.

Starting with the Karl Drais walking machine through to the hydrogen car of the future, the entire history of automobility is shown in five exhibition halls on three floors, based on its most important milestones. The foundation's background is particularly evident in the museum's TECHNOLOGIE-ARENA. School classes as well as individual visitors can use this extracurricular learning location with over 80 haptic learning models on physics and technology in order to grasp old and new knowledge.

In the early 1930s, the French BUGATTIWERK in Molsheim, Alsace, under the leadership of the company's founder Ettore Bugatti, known as the “Patron”, was increasingly in the red. The reasons were probably too extensive a range of different car models and the conservative insistence on old technology, partly because it was the company's own patents. Only when the eldest son Jean Bugatti began to bring a breath of fresh air with his design line was a clear upward trend in sight. Another important economic factor was that, under the direction of Jean Bugatti, automobile production was now concentrated on just one basic model with the same engine type, the T 57 SERIES. Our exhibition "THE LAST FRENCH BUGATTIS" is dedicated to this great success of Jean Bugatti and the last French success phase of BUGATTI.
