On the history of the "East German Vehicle Museum" in Benneckenstein / Harz
The still young vehicle museum is housed in a former VEB company (work clothing Benneckenstein), embedded in a typical Harz landscape.
Anyone visiting the museum is taking a journey back in time, into the GDR vehicle history with everyday objects from that time. The approximately 4,000 museum objects did not fall into their hands randomly or by accident.
20 years of intensive search for specific objects is the result of a very high-quality collection today.
In many areas of the exhibition, the viewer feels the assumption of a real situation at that time.
