Museu Nacional de l’Automòbil, Encamp, Andorra
The National Automobile Museum in Andorra shows vehicles from a steam engine such as the Pinette (1885), the oldest car in the museum, up to the 70’s. Around 80 vehicles show the evolution of the aesthetics to adapt to the needs.
The automobile was one of the most important inventions of the 20th century. The eighty vehicles on display show the evolution of aesthetics and mechanics to meet the needs of each era, and how speed and power limits have been overcome.
The museum also houses a hundred motorcycles that testify to the challenges that the evolution of technology has achieved in transforming a clumsy, uncomfortable and dangerous thing into a stylish, reliable and practical machine.
The collection, largely made up of pieces from various private collections, is considered one of the most important in Europe in the field of automobiles and a global benchmark in the field of motorcycles.
